An EID is a sequence of numbers and characters in the format of "E##-################XXXX", with # placeholding numbers, and X placeholding letters. Upon acceptance of registration, a registrant will receive their EID in an email from TsukiRep. The EID is mainly used for logging into Systemspace.link.

EID versioning

There are two types of EIDs currently available, the deprecated v1 and the current v2.

EIDv1

This EID version is a sequence in the format "E##-################", with # placeholding numbers. These EIDs have all been cancelled for the upgrade, and all users with one are requested (but not required) to update to a v2 EID.

In the old listing page, the first 8 characters (including the hyphen) of the EID used to be shown next to registrants' ID with the rest of the characters blurred out. Copying the blurred part would reveal a sequence of randomly assembled characters in place of the actual EID's contents, making the attempt of copying the EID futile.

EIDv2

This EID version is a sequence in the format "E##-################XXXX", with # placeholding numbers, and X placeholding letters.

Technical Details

Acquiring an EID

After receiving a registrant's drawn picture with the code "a62cd92b2104acbd928ccb29", the Representative will analyse the strokes of it, and enter that data into Solar, which will output the soul ID of the registrant who drew the picture. Tsuki will attach an EID to the soul and use his own tool to generate a numerical representation of it, which is assigned to the registrant's actual EID. Furthermore, a mnemonic (a memory device), consisting of a sequence of words, will be created for retrieving a lost EID.

EIDs are temporary and multiple may even exist for a single soul.

  • The sequence of the EID, like the EoT is just a representation of their true values; the actual EID is not numeric.
  • An EID links a short ID to a long soul ID, like an domain name to an IP address.
  • An EID has no use beyond the TSUKI Project in Life, but it can be used for a variety of things in other non-blocked systems.
  • Dying before the opening of The Gates will reset a registrant's EID and cancel their transfer.

Updating an EID

All old EIDs (before ~5000) were cancelled with the return of Systemspace.link. A new EID may be obtained by anyone with an old EID, by presenting proof that they obtained the EID legitimately. The new EIDs (known as EIDv2) differ from the old EID in the addition of four letters at the end, i.e. E##-################XXXX, where # indicates number and X indicates letter.
